Anthony Wins Industry Achiever Award

JERSEY ACKNOWLEDGES ANTHONY'S ACHIEVEMENTS

Camerons' Anthony Joubert received the Industry Achiever Award at this year's Jersey Construction Awards.

The 32 year-old Frenchman triumphed in his first appointment as Construction Manager, working on the 64,213 sq ft, Liberty Wharf Transportation Centre and Tourism Office, on the Esplanade. Anthony's initial involvement as Design Manger helped secure the contract before he assumed full responsibility on promotion to Construction Manager.

The project presented many challenges, including the complex restoration of a WWII gun emplacement. Anthony's close liaison with heritage organisations ensured a successful conclusion.

His forward planning and insight were responsible for several specialist solutions, including two European construction technologies never before seen in Jersey. He also handled the recruitment, housing and integration of UK and French sub-contractors, to meet local labour shortfalls.

Anthony balanced the demands of a project with two end users to achieve a successful outcome, whilst demonstrating a clear understanding of the PR sensitivities of the site.
