Camerons shortlisted for Jersey Enterprise Large Business Award

Camerons is officially one of the best large businesses in Jersey.

The company was one of three firms short listed for the Play.com Large Business of the Year Award at the Jersey Awards for Enterprise, the only finalist from the building industry.

Areas ranging from staff welfare to market expansion were assessed for every entrant. Judges marked each company on six factors including business performance, leadership, strategy, staff satisfaction and absenteeism, as well as customer satisfaction. A shortlist of three was chosen and, at that stage a mystery shopper exercise was conducted to verify the paper submission.

"The judging process was rigorous and the mystery shopper exercise showed that, as well as looking good on paper, we performed well in practice when dealing with our customers.
The award topped off a record year in terms of the number of projects we've accomplished, our turnover, quality workmanship, and our contribution to the Jersey community. I am delighted that we reached the final three as it's not an easy thing to do, so it is an excellent achievement and I am very proud of everyone at Camerons."

The Play.com Large Business of the Year Award recognises that large businesses are an essential part of the Island's economy and lead the way in terms of investment in research and development, in opening untapped markets and using new technologies. It was open to all firms with more than 30 staff, and judges sought to recognise large business which set the standard in terms of environmental performance and promoting Jersey in a national and international arena.
